At Segunda Quimbamba, we have been teaching these rich Afro-Puerto Rican art forms for over 30 years in Jersey City and throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. Our classes offer a joyful and immersive experience for students of all ages and skill levels, connecting movement and music with history and community.
Children’s Bomba Dance & Percussion (Ages 6-11): A fun, energetic introduction to Bomba, where young learners explore rhythm, movement, and cultural expression through drumming and dance.
General Bomba Dance & Percussion (Ages 12+ & Adults): A mixed-level class for teens and adults to deepen their understanding of Bomba’s rhythms, history, and technique, creating a shared space for intergenerational learning and connection.
