Global Music Percussionist, Vivian Millicent Warfield performed with Brazilian, Latin, West African, Jazz, Blues, and Pop Music ensembles in clubs, theatres, and festivals within the USA as well as internationally. A proud native New Yorker, Ms. Warfield  played in venues such as Carnegie Hall, St. John the Devine, Riverside Church, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Radio City Music Hall, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Newark Public Library, Jersey City All About Downtown Event, Central Park SummerStage, Global Fest, and La MaMa. Her international career includes festivals and carnivals in Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Olinda Brazil and Catano, and Salinas Puerto Rico. As an accompanist, she provided instrumental work for Spoken Word artists and various dance companies.

 

Her studio work can be heard on numerous albums. Within the Arts-in-Education setting, she partnered with Create!, Young Audiences, Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, New Rochelle Public Housing, Lincoln Center Education, the Metropolitan and Guggenheim Museums, Elders Share the Arts, and LaGuardia Community College.
